I love being a doula. For me being part of the birthing experience is powerful and sacred. I delight in getting to know each woman I serve, and learning her individual needs and desires surrounding her birthing experience.

I’ve been a practicing Doula for 5 years and I’m trained in Labor and Postpartum support. I provide support for all kinds of births.
Providing a comfortable, supported, empowering birth experience is my primary objective. I always take the time to go over each woman’s hopes and fears for her birth. Together we make goals, practice comfort techniques and prepare for each eventuality. I make sure to answer any questions with balanced, fair, and well researched information and to make sure that each issue is addressed in the way that is the very best for each woman and her growing family.

"If a woman doesn't look like a Goddess during labor, then someone isn't treating her right." Ina May Gaskin

I love working with women and families. I believe that birth is sacred. I firmly believe that when we empower women to birth the way that they choose, we create a spark of change for good that carries on into motherhood and beyond. I also enjoy working with fathers and empowering them with knowledge of how to be a true support to their partners. I've been a practicing Doula for a year and am currently in the process of certifying through DONA international. I received my training from the incomparable Debra Pascali Bonaro, creator and director of the popular documentary and book Orgasmic Birth. I'm familiar with Hypno Babies as well and plan to certify as a Hypno Doula next year. I also have extensive knowledge of breastfeeding, having nursed my own children and experienced difficulties with it myself.

My desire is to be able to provide women and couples with the most current and up to date information, so that they can feel confident in their ability to advocate for themselves and to hold sacred space for them during one of the most transformative moments of their lives.
